Digital Art & Design (Grades 3rd-6th)

Digital Art & Design builds on the foundational skills from the Digital Art course, offering more advanced training in digital techniques. Students will engage in projects that challenge their creativity and technical abilities, such as still life studies focusing on volume and composition, merchant cart designs that emphasize cohesion and simplified forms, and portrait studies that explore color theory and symmetry. The course also includes creature studies that delve into texture painting, value distribution, and light studies.

Course Objectives & Skills:

• Build advanced digital painting and design skills

• Master techniques in digital still life, portraiture, and creature studies

• Develop skills in color theory, value distribution, and texture painting

• Understand and apply principles of composition, volume, and symmetry

• Learn to simplify complex forms while maintaining consistency and cohesion
