Intermediate Fashion Design & Sewing (Grades 6+, Adults)

Intermediate Fashion Design & Sewing is designed to deepen students’ understanding of fashion design by emphasizing the importance of fashion sketching and garment construction. Students will learn to accurately understand and draw body proportions and forms, developing skills in creating croquis and conceptualizing multiple designs on a single figure. They will experiment with a variety of sketching mediums to bring their ideas to life with texture and color. Additionally, students will learn various hand stitches and how to use a sewing machine to construct garments. This course will allow students to apply creativity to functional and practical hands-on projects.
